Special
 Interview

Coach Yoshizumi Ogawa (Sagan Tosu)

Please tell us about your first encounter with YASUDA and your thoughts on knowing about the reprint.

I met YASUDA when I was in the first year of junior high school.

I still remember the first time I wore YASUDA shoes, my feet were very fit with high instep and wide feet.

After that, I wore it until my third year of high school, when YASUDA went bankrupt.

When I learned about the revival of YASUDA, I really wanted to wear it again.

Is there anything you value most when choosing shoes?

My legs are high in size and wide, and there is a difference between my left and right legs.
That's why I chose shoes that were made of high-quality leather and that would remember the shape of my feet.

By the way, before I met YASUDA's shoes, I used to wear shoes with narrow widths and cause shoe chafing.

Please tell us what you value about YASUDA's shoes.

YASUDA's shoes are excellent in that the quality of the leather is good and immediately fit the shape of the person's foot as soon as you wear it.

I think it depends on how you store the shoes, but when you are not wearing them, the leather gradually returns to normal, so the leather does not become stretched out, so it is really good to get used to the foot more and more.

I think that the point that "shoes made by Japanese people for Japanese people" is very good, but in the future, I want people all over the world to feel the goodness of YASUDA.

Please give a message to the young players.

I want young players to think about "what is the essence of things?" We tend to focus on cool feints and flashy plays, but the basics of stopping, kicking, and carrying are the most important things, and that's the essence of football.

The choice of shoes is the same, not only about the trend and appearance, but also about "whether it fits your feet". I would like you to use it as a reference when choosing shoes.

If you have never encountered shoes like "Kore!" until now, I would like you to wear YASUDA once.

Yojiro Takahagi(Tochigi SC #8)

Please tell us about your first encounter with YASUDA and your thoughts on the reprint.

When I was in junior high school, I wore YASUDA spikes for matches. My routine was to polish it to shine the day before the game.

When I learned about the reprint, I remember honestly thinking, "I want to wear YASUDA spikes again!"

Is there anything you value most when choosing shoes?

Ideally, the shoes are wrapped around the feet and make you feel like you're kicking a ball barefoot.

I like simple designs.
YASUDA's spikes are just that.

Please tell us about the appeal of YASUDA that Takahagi feels.

It's the closest spike to my ideals. The design is also simple and cool.

I feel like my shoes are wrapped around my feet, and the more I use them, the more they adapt to my feet.

The commitment to spike making is transmitted.

Please give a message to young players.

Just as the YASUDA brand is making shoes with great care, I would like people who aim to become professional soccer players to play with confidence and commitment to their own play.

Ayumu Ohata (Urawa Reds #44)

How did you find out about YASUDA shoes?

I got to know YASUDA after Popeiro from Sagan Tosu, where I used to belong, recommended Spike.

I had known the brand name "YASUDA" for a long time, but that was the first time I knew about the existence of Spike.

Is there anything you are particular about when choosing shoes?

There is not much particular emphasis on shoe selection, but if there is one, it is the material.
I feel that natural leather suits me better than artificial leather, so I place importance on that.

Please tell us if there are any points that you evaluate with YASUDA shoes.

The "Ligaresta Pro" that I wear in matches is made of natural leather kangaroo leather, so I think it is very good that it fits quickly and fits well.

Do you want such a person to wear YASUDA?

For those who have not found a spike that suits their feet or who are wondering how to choose shoes, I would like you to try wearing them once.

Please give a message to the young players.

I'm still young, but what I'm always conscious of is to do my best in daily practice.
If you do that, you will definitely be able to grow and your dreams will come true.

Hayato Kobayashi(Japan national footgolf team member)

Please tell us about your own encounter with YASUDA and what you thought when you learned about the reissue.

I used Yasuda shoes and clothing as a child.

I learned that "ヤスダ" was revived as "YASUDA" when I saw the TV program "Foot Brain.

Since I often compete in international competitions overseas, I strongly felt that I would like to compete in the world wearing shoes made by YASUDA, a Japanese manufacturer with a long history.

What is required of shoes in foot golf?

To protect the turf on the golf course, spikes are not allowed in foot golf. However, a good grip on the sole is required to step firmly.

The sole of the "LigarestaTF" is a simple rubber shape, but the height and width of the points are just right, and it works well in the rain.

Please tell us about your own particular shoe selection process.

I choose natural leather spikes because I like the feeling of the leather adjusting to my feet as I use them. For this reason, I polish my shoes carefully after games and practice. Black is the best color to shine after polishing, so I choose black leather shoes.

By the way, shoe polishing is a very important time to calm down and reflect on the game. I highly recommend it, and not just for soccer or footgolf!

Please give a message to the young players.

I could not become a J-League player, but I am able to continue to pursue my dream in another way: as a member of the Japanese national footgolf team.

We're looking forward to welcoming you to the bigger stage of "FootGolf!"

Yudai Mikado (FC Imabari #50)

Please tell us about your encounter with YASUDA.

I wore Yasuda spikes when I was in junior high school.
I remember that it fit my feet and was comfortable to wear and I liked it very much.

When I found out that Spike would be reprinted as YASUDA, I was excited!
I wanted to wear it right away.

What are the points that you evaluate after actually wearing them?

After all, it is comfortable and fit!

I would like you to play with the spikes of YASUDA once you are wearing them.
I think everyone will be captivated!!

Do you have a particular preference for choosing your own shoes?

After all, I place importance on whether it fits my feet or not.

My feet are wide and high, so I place great importance on the comfort of wearing them and the feeling of playing.
Also, I like shoes with simple designs.

Do you have a message for young players?

I want young players to challenge not only what they like, but also what they are not good at.

It may take a lot of courage to challenge something that you are not good at, but I think that the experience you can get in it will definitely lead to your growth!!

NARA Tatsuki (Avispa Fukuoka #3)

How did you find out about YASUDA shoes?

I was first interested when I heard from current Tochigi SC player TAKAHAGI Yojiro that TAKAHAGI was wearing YASUDA.

At the beginning of the season, during camp, I did some fitting of shoes, and it was the first time I put on YASUDA shoes.

The one that suited me the most was YASUDA's "Ligaresta Pro", so I decided to ask for support.

What do you rate about YASUDA shoes?

I really like the YASUDA spikes, both made and leather, because they fit my feet.

Since it is used frequently, I think it is good that you will not get tired of it with a simple design.

Also, since it is a Japan brand, we trust the quality of our products.

Kazuhiro Sato (YASUDA Representative)

Tell us about your first encounter with YASUDA.

When I was in the second grade of junior high school, I bought my first Yasuda at a soccer shop in Omiya, Saitama, and I have been using it since then.

Until then, I had changed the spike maker every time, but after I wore YASUDA, I wore it for a while.

After I started working, I wore various shoes, but one day at the end of soccer, I suddenly remembered YASUDA.

I was very shocked to learn that they had gone bankrupt at that time.

With the desire to "wear YASUDA again", I am honored to be able to reprint my favorite soccer brand!

Is there anything you value most when choosing shoes?

Not only professional athletes, but like many people, it is about softness and not rubbing shoes.

If the upper is hard, it will hurt a lot if it is stepped on in cold weather, so I try to choose spikes with a soft upper.

Of course, I love YASUDA spikes for my full coat, but I am proud that kangaroo leather is soft and fits perfectly.

Please tell us what President Sato feels about the appeal of YASUDA.

Of course, the quality of the shoes is important, but I think the most attractive thing is "YASUDA fans".

I am very grateful and happy that there are many [fans] who know "Yasuda" and "Click Suyasuda", and I think it is the charm of YASUDA.

I am very grateful for the connection between the fans, who not only put on the shoes again, but also those who became coaches and parents, who conveyed the goodness of Yasuda to the young players.

I was very shocked to learn that they had gone bankrupt at that time.

YASUDA's vision is to become a brand that connects people, and I am happy that we have been able to realize this little by little.

Please give a message to young players and generations.

The current "Ligaresta" series of shoes is recognized and loved by professional athletes.

I hope that many young people will wear YASUDA. Please try it on first. You should be able to feel the fit of YASUDA.

Also, many coaches and referees know YASUDA.
I often hear that just by wearing YASUDA, they called out to me before and after the game.

I hope you will love this traditional shoe.

At last

YASUDA has only recently been reissued, so we haven't been able to make many types of shoes, but we are planning color variations, new spikes, indoor shoes, sneakers, etc., so please look forward to it.

I'm sorry that it took so long, but I definitely want to bring something good to the world.

Thank you for your continued support of YASUDA.
Thank you for reading.
