YASUDA passed down from father to son. Scenery Seen During the Spain Expedition

Hello, this is YASUDA.

At YASUDA, our theme is "Becoming a brand that connects people."
From the generation that once wore YASUDA to today's younger generation.

This time, I would like to share the story of an elementary school student's challenge, born from such a wonderful connection.

"I want to fight wearing the same YASUDA as my dad."

The trigger was an email I received from the father of Sota Kudo, an elementary school student at Renovance Ogasa FC active in Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture.

Kudo has won the national selection and will travel as a member of the 'Japan Select Team' to the tournament to be held in Spain in May. Our opponents include FC Barcelona as well.

Her father himself is one of the fans who spent his junior high and high school years with YASUDA.
Having grown up watching his father's back, Kudo personally chose the Ligaresta Ace wide white × orange models from among many manufacturers as spikes to compete on the world stage.

Until then, I had been wearing them from other brands, but the moment I tried them on, I immediately decided, "They fit perfectly!" Right after the first practice, he excitedly said, "This is amazing! I was surprised at how tired I was."

In fact, Kudo has experienced setbacks in the past and once nearly lost confidence in soccer.
From there, through persistent effort, I secured my ticket to the world this time.

At the end of the email, my father wrote the following.

"Although your company once disappeared, I have a strong hope to reflect on your own image and the dramatic comeback of your company, and I want to challenge the world with these spikes."

Upon receiving this message, YASUDA considered whether we could offer some support and sent shoes and apparel that could be used locally.

She put it on right away and seemed to like it. Before departure, they reportedly had a local TV station cover the area.

Now, off to Barcelona. Final adjustments just before departure

My father contacted me just before departure.

For the final adjustment in Japan, since the pitch was artificial turf, I practiced wearing the Ligaresta TF, which I have been using for a long time. We were able to finish preparations in very good condition. That's what they said.

Stopping Barça felt incredibly satisfying.

Kudo, who played in Spain, shared real and robust impressions from his father.

"The training field in Spain had artificial turf, so Ace was very easy to move in. All the games were on natural grass pitches, so I wore Pro shoes and played.
The comfort was fantastic, transitions during play were smooth, and above all, the kick felt amazing!
Sometimes I make mistakes just because my skills aren't enough, so I need to practice more."

He mastered the Ligaresta Pro and Ligaresta Ace in sync with the pitch, and came home confidently finding the next challenge.

Also, even off the pitch, he was raised with the belief that "if you talk with a smile, things will work out," so he gradually became friends with foreign players and hotel security guards.

Since they were staying at the same hotel as Manchester City (Junior), they quickly became close and reportedly even took a two-shot with a Barça player.

There was also a cute story typical of elementary school students when he asked a Barça player in broken Spanish to "change our uniforms!" but was refused, saying, "I only have one, so it's not allowed," so he gave up.

Although they lost the match itself,
"The Barça match was the most interesting! The team's attacks were almost completely shut down, but we managed to win the ball one-on-one multiple times, and we even launched counterattacks from passing cuts. Stopping Barça players felt incredibly good (laughs)."
He returned home with great excitement. It's truly amazing that you can enjoy soccer so fearlessly against the world's top opponents.

What YASUDA aims for in the future

In a TV interview after returning to Japan, Kudo set his goal as "playing overseas in the future." I'm really looking forward to his future activities.

As mentioned at the beginning, the idea is for the generation that knew YASUDA in the past to be passed on to the younger generation, allowing them to discover its advantages and have the best experience. This is truly a happy thing for our company.

From leaders to young people.
And even among today's young people.
Aiming for a situation where the "good qualities of YASUDA" naturally come across, we want to continue creating quality products sincerely from now on.

Through this report, we at YASUDA have reaffirmed that these shoes are not only practical but also widely used overseas, which makes us very happy as YASUDA.

Kudo, thank you for the wonderful report that inspired me so much.
I'll keep cheering you on!
