Now,
This is the theme of this article,
It's "walking football."
I participated in the tournament and actually played there, so I will deliver the pattern.
What is walking football?
First of all, what is "walking football"?
So, literally,
"Walking football" means "walking football".
The rules are as follows:
・ All athletes do not run
・Do not hit the ball player with your body.
・ Do not take the opponent's ball or go to get it
・ The height of the ball is the height of the goal (low)
・ So there is no heading
・ Only keepers can enter the penalty area.
・ Keeper throws only
・No offside
That's pretty much it, and it's a sport where you can enjoy football without running bang-bang.
It seems to be starting to spread in general around the world.
Oh my God,
"Football for those who find it difficult to move intensely"
I think there are many people who think,
Play soccer with only passes and walking
Therefore, some teams have incorporated it as basic practice because it is a basic movement practice.
By the way, YASUDA recently partnered with the Japan Walking Football Federation.
>> "YASUDA" partners with Japan Walking Football Federation
Immediately after this release, there was a walking football tournament organized by the federation at the right time, so I visited there.
In addition,
The Japan Walking Football Federation
They are working with the vision of "the goal is to enjoy football together in a fun and casual way when anyone can participate, regardless of age, gender, or disability."
As a "JFA Grassroots Promotion and Support Partner",
It is an organization officially recognized by the JFA Japan Football Association.
So, let's get to the report.
Here we go.
We participated in the 6th Penguins Cup!
March 11, 2023, sunny!
Japan tournament organized by the Walking Football Federation,
・6th Penguins Cup
was held in Saitama City.
The good thing about walking football is that people of all ages can enjoy football, but on this day, there were really literally a variety of players gathering.

Everyone gathers and the tournament begins.
As the name "Penguins' Cup" suggests, the icon of the Walking Football Federation is Penguin.
The rules were printed and handed out~
At the beginning, Mr. Sato, representative of YASUDA, also gave a greeting.
The white shirt and shorts are Sato.
This is what the game looked like on the actual day.

The field is wider than I expected, and the goal is lower.
However, it seems that this area is not yet rigidly decided.
On this day
・Enjoy Group (just have fun)
・Competition groups (ranking)
It was held in two categories.
YASUDA members also wore Ligaresta TF and played to be added to the teams of the Enjoy Group.
(I enjoyed football so much that I forgot to take a picture... )
The members who usually play futsal and full-court soccer had to get used to the rules, but with each match, their understanding of the depth of the competition improved, and they enjoyed themselves thoroughly.
You need to make passes to your feet and you need to have a broad perspective, such as how to move before the ball arrives, so I experienced that this is a sport where you can learn the basics of football anew.
It's so deep!!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the event, for accepting new YASUDA members.

At the end, we took a commemorative photo with the federation members and participants.
Thank you very much for allowing us to participate in the 6th Penguins Cup, in which all 10 teams participated.
It was a great experience to go back to basics and learn the basics of football, and kick the ball regardless of whether we won or lost.
I would like people who are already tough to play football with dashes and contact to try it more and more.
I don't have the physical strength, but I want to enjoy football. I think there are many people who say that.
Isn't the number of athletes steadily increasing in the future?
YASUDA will continue to promote various initiatives together with the Japan Walking Football Federation.
That was my walking football experience report.
I would love to participate again!

YASUDA will continue to make various efforts so that many people can enjoy football.
Thank you very much.
See you soon!
